I now have a new bike so I can cycle along the towpath of the Leeds & Liverpool Canal without too much fear of my bike falling to pieces. Its been a while since I last did any cycling so it might take me a few weeks to get back up to speed. All I need is the right weather...
As well as cycling I am re-walking Liverpool to Leeds. So I can create a mile by mile guide to the towpath. It will tell you what the towpath is like (muddy, tarmac, covered in glass, cobbles etc) and what the area is like around the canal (rural, residential, abandoned industrial etc) and there will be links to maps showing you how to get to the towpath from local train stations.
Hopefully it will be useful for people planning cycle rides on the canal.
I might even get to do some filming from my bike.
